Hey Candice! I have just read your rant and want to let you know that dance research is indeed taken seriously so don’t let yourself fall into the trap others are laying for you! Take a look at this website http://www.cnd.fr/cnd/missions/missions_en
and realize that there is a whole world out here where people do find dance and its study fascinating and worth financial support. On a more personal note, I wanted to let you know how I miss our classes together! Back in the high school classroom it is often frustrating to create enthusiasm for learning! However, I remember that there are young people like you and keep smiling! best wishes to you both~

Way to go Candice! I’m sure you are right. Many people probably don’t always understand what you are doing and the extent of your passion for dance and academics. What alot of us do know is how very dedicated you are. It’s a great suggestion you made that people should ask you and yoú could explain your research to them, perhaps people are just afraid to ask. Keep on educating the world, even if it’s just one person at a time.
